The NAIS-500 is one of the most simple and effective safety solutions for skippers with B&G, Lowrance, or Simrad multi-function displays. The NAIS-500 links a GPS to a select head unit and broadcasts your current position via VHF. Users with AIS systems will receive and display this position on their own chartplotters, and in turn, also broadcast their position. The result is an up-to-date, accurate display of all AIS-equipped vessels, allowing users to safely navigate congested waterways. As an added bonus, Speed and Course over ground are also broadcast, allowing users to quickly identify routes of fellow skippers and navigate accordingly.
